From July 21st, 2025, the ECBA test had the major change in order to adapting the new situation and feedback from all employers around the world.

On December 1st, 2025, I took the test ECBA one more time with the real tester PSI.
AND I DID PASSED THE TEST.

I share the summary.
I was immigrant from Viet Nam to USA. My family and me official landed to USA territory on Oct 15th, 2014. Since then, things had been happenned. Up and down. Just similar story to many immigrants.
My life is taking more time than other because I start from the empty hand. ( I stop jealous with others because I am aligning with my own destiny NOW)
One milestone of my life was the successful passed the civic test in order to become American Citizen. My ceremony took place on Feb 2025.
Since then, I decided to rising up -> started my transformation. -> re-organize all everything of my life again.
The first step of everything still summary in one word: budget.
Thus, I chose to focus on fixing my wallet and improving my financial situation.
As the solution, find a new job was the answer.
I had the background of data analysis, so I moved on to Business Analysis.
During the googling process, I across IIBA. At first, I mistook IIBA with another institute at India country.
I asked Google Gemini AI about the difference.
And then, I realized that “oh` IIBA has 5 regions. The institute that I see from India country is just one local chapter of one region from IIBA.”
Since March 2025, I became the new member of IIBA.
I have zero experience about Business Analysis before, so ECBA from IIBA becomes the first priority for my transformation.
As the new member with IIBA, I have 12 months timeframe to obtain the ECBA. (with other business analyst with different degree, they can jump into CBAP from IIBA)
From March 2025 until July 21st, 2025, I tried 2 times…
July 21st, 2025 was the day IIBA update the new ECBA.
It took 3 months long for the change to be completed. (Because it is international)
On Friday Oct 10th, 2025, I re-wrote the ECBA one more time.
After the test…. I analyzed my own performance.
I realized I have reached my limitation of self-study method.
Applying the principles and techniques from BABOK version 3 from IIBA, I started to regard myself as the “stakeholder” -> I asked my soul to identify what are the “needs” -> from the “needs”, what things I need to “change” -> find the “solution” that delivery “value” within my “current state” as the “context”
Adaptive US Provider is the one.
I applied some knowledge from self-study of BABOK version 3:
- Time Management
- Backlog Management
One month of the commitment.
Besides my two min-wage jobs plus the housework.
Besides my physical condition ( I had the cold Flu sick about 3 days before Dec 1st, 2025. This is just the common flu. Because I had been vaccinated enough 3 shoots since the COVID 19)
( during the 75 minutes of testing, I need to ask the tester to pause my test a few times because my nose had the sneezing down to the keyboard. The tester is the living-witness)
All of this are the “context” of my current state. -> I just applied the knowledge “Understanding what is feasible within the constraints”
Result: after 75 minutes testing with PSI and the observation of the tester, the system automatic scored. They did not give me the details how many percentage but the main point:

IT WAS THE FIRST TIME EVER I EXPERIENCE THE TRULY HAPPYNESS
I passed the ECBA test.
