Annyeong haseyo, travel adventurers! I’m your guide, coming to you from Attica of NYS. ( another village name inherited from ancient EU). Attica village also has the past period deep connection with Arcade nearby through the train system. Because of the geography difficult causing the frequency of flood, they decide to abandon the passenger train line going to Attica, NY.
Even so, we still have the freight train line with cargo and good crossing the Tonawanda Creek.
An active resting day at Attica, NY
For some NYS residents, visiting Attica just takes one day long. At here, you will upfold the potential value on 3 main categories: fishing, hunting and horseback riding.
Even you have the validate licenses, the the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) still prohibited summer season for hunting and shooting because most wildlife is breeding and raising young during this period.
Autumn, starting in September/October and running through late autumn, forest surrounded Attica will be fully open for the peak season of hunting.
Just careful some because the DEC has explicitly posted a designated area where it is allowed, and where is strictly illegal.
While the fishing access areas within the village zone are open year-around. You will mostly find Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye. If you head slightly further upstream into the quicker-moving waters (like the East Fork of the creek), you can even find Brown Trout.
Just a short drive outside the village zone, the Attica Reservoir is also open for public fishing (typically from May 1 to mid-March) and is a popular spot for catching Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.
